I see these cupcake toppers & gift tags all over the place. I am trying to make my own by scratch. Almost everyone I have ever seen has some sort of templated circle border or dot border on it. How do people make these borders? Is it just simply using various art programs like photoshop or are there specific online templates they are using? Thanks!

Hi Rachel! I think most everyone uses software like Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator to create designs like these. I don’t know of any online templates, but you may be able to check out some of the digital scrapbooking sites to see if they have anything.
For my cupcake toppers, you get the border when you punch the circles with a 2″ circle punch. The circle with the text is purposely smaller, so that some of the background will be the border.

I love these printables, can I use them to make cupcake toppers and sell them?
